Cookies and Browser Storage
The site code uses no analytics or advertising cookies. You can optionally store an essential-only preference in this browser, or remove that preference below.
Cookies and localStorage are different
A cookie is a small browser value that may be sent with matching server requests. localStorage keeps values within a browser's storage for a particular site and does not automatically attach them to requests. Both can remember preferences, and both can be removed using browser controls.
What the site code stores
If you choose “Save essential only,” the script stores the key boardbuddyquivar-cookie-preference with the value essential in localStorage. Its purpose is to remember the choice shown on this page. It has no automatic expiry in the site code and remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. It is not an identifier for advertising and contains no message draft or email address.
The preference does not activate any optional service. There are no optional analytics, advertising scripts or third-party media embeds in the provided site code. Leaving the preference unset does not prevent you from reading tutorials or using the local drafting tool.
Other temporary data
The mobile menu and animation state exist only in page memory. Contact drafts are not saved by the site. Copying a draft uses your device's clipboard, and downloading creates a file that you control. These are user-requested actions rather than tracking technologies.
Hosting and browser controls
Delivering a website still involves server requests and may involve technical hosting or security processes. This page describes the storage used by the site code, not an assurance that every hosting layer or browser extension uses no storage. Server-side logs are distinct from cookies; see the Privacy page for the relevant information.
You can remove site data through your browser's privacy settings. Blocking storage may prevent a preference from being remembered but should not stop the core tutorials from loading. Private browsing sessions may discard stored values when closed. Separate browsers and devices maintain separate choices.
Questions or changes
If the site introduces optional services, this notice and the relevant choice mechanisms should be updated before those services are used where required. For questions about the current implementation, email [email protected].
